Citizens Online Police Reporting System

Welcome to the Hawthorne Police Department Citizens Online Police Reporting System.

Using the Hawthorne Police Department's Online Citizen Police Reporting System allows you to immediately submit a police report and print a copy for free. Before proceeding, please confirm the following to determine if online reporting is appropriate:

  • This is not an emergency.

  • The incident occurred within Hawthorne city limits.

  • There are no known suspects.

  • The incident did not occur on a state freeway.

Please Note:

  • Incidents reported online will not be actively investigated. Online reporting is intended for documentation purposes only.

  • You may report incidents that occurred in Hawthorne or, if you reside in Hawthorne, incidents involving identity theft or harassing phone calls.

Upon completion of your online report, you will:

  • See the confirmation message: "Your online police report has been submitted," indicating your report is complete.

  • Receive a police report case number.

  • Be able to print a copy of your police report for your records.

  • All reports filed through the Online Citizen Police Reporting System will be reviewed.

  • Upon review, if additional information is needed, you may be contacted, or your report may be rejected.

  • Filing a false police report is a crime.
