On Thursday, October 15, 2020, at approximately 2:12 AM, Hawthorne police responded on a report of a gunshot victim in the 4200 block of El Segundo Boulevard. Officers located the male victim in a hotel parking lot, as well as evidence that a shooting had occurred. The victim was pronounced deceased by the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office responded and identified the victim as Ramiro Fonseca Jr., 44 years of age. An autopsy will be scheduled for the victim in the near future. Detectives from the Hawthorne Police Department are handling the investigation.
