Event Notification
The Hawthorne Police Department’s SWAT Team will be conducting a training exercise on Thursday, July 15th, 2021 at Richard Henry Dana Middle School located at 5504 W. 135th Street in Hawthorne. During the time frame of 10 am to 4 pm the Department’s helicopter will land and take off on the Dana sports field several times.
Richard Henry Dana Middle School will be on Summer break during this training so there will be no students or staff present. Traffic in the area will not be affected during this time. To enhance the safety for our citizens along with our participating officers, the Hawthorne Police Department kindly requests that everyone in the area please stay clear of the sports field during this time frame.
