Last week, HPD Patrol officers took the initiative to address the bulk trash and furniture discarded on our city streets. In cooperation with the Hawthorne Public Works and the City's contracted waste management company, we identified over 130 locations of trash and large pieces of discarded furniture throughout the city. In just a couple of days, the items were picked up and properly disposed of. Kudos to Lieutenant Royer, Sergeant Williams and the Dayshift patrol officers for being proactive and working to keep our city clean.
