Shooting Death Investigation, 12800 Blk, Crenshaw Bl, Hawthorne

Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives are continuing to assist Hawthorne Police Department investigate a shooting that left one man dead and another injured at a barber shop Saturday evening.
Detectives learned that at approximately 4:09PM, Hawthorne police responded to the 12800 block of Crenshaw Boulevard, Hawthorne. According to witnesses, two male-Black suspects were in the parking lot and started shooting into the barber shop at patrons and employees. The suspects left the location in an unknown car.
A 31-year-old male-Black was pronounced dead inside the business. A second shooting victim, male-Black 29-years-old, was transported to a local hospital by a friend, where he underwent surgery, and is expected to survive.
The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time. The investigation is active and on-going.
