Police Reports

 

There are several ways you can file a police report:

  • At our Station

  • In person; Officer comes to your location

  • Citizens Online Police Reports System

  • Anonymously

Filing a Report at our station:

  • Station lobby hours:

    • 7:00 am to 7:00 pm (Mon - Sun)

    • Call (310) 349-2700 if you have any non-emergency questions.

Having an Officer come to you:

  • Call our Dispatch center anytime

  • (310) 675-4444. This number is answered 24/7.

  • We will try to respond as soon as possible. However, response times will vary depending on availability and priority of calls for service being handled at the time. There are also certain types of incidents where we will not respond and instead direct you to our online reporting or the Desk Officer will take the report over the phone.

Citizens Online Police Reporting System:


Using this online citizen police report system allows you to submit a report immediately and print a copy of the police report for free. You can also call the automated line (833) 286-8303 to get the link sent to your mobile phone as a text message link.

How to get a copy of a Police Report

 

To obtain a police report you can now make a request online

In person you MUST show valid identification (a Driver’s License, State I.D., Passport, or DMV Printout). You MUST have a picture ID.  

We do not charge for most reports.

Hours:

  • Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5 pm

  • Closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.

LexisNexis eCrash

To better serve our community and insurance carriers in need of traffic collision reports, we have partnered with LexisNexis to provide secure, online access to these reports.

You can save time by obtaining your report online, eliminating the need to visit our station in person. If you need assistance locating your report online, please contact the eCrash Help Desk at 1-866-215-2771.

Important Information:

  • Please allow at least 14 business days from the date of the collision before searching for your collision report online. This timeframe ensures the report has been thoroughly reviewed and approved for release.

  • Traffic collision reports involving fatalities, arrests, or juveniles connected to alleged crimes are not available online. To request these specific reports, please contact our Business Office directly.

A convenience fee of $10.00 will be charged for online retrieval of your collision report. This fee is in addition to the standard cost of the report.
